Drop-Off & Pick-Up
We need your help to ensure our students and families are safe during our drop-off and pick-up times. Please read the following guidelines carefully. Thank you for your cooperation!
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures
General Drop-Off:
Entry Point: All students entering on 14th St. (except bus riders) will enter the campus through the gate onto the kindergarten playground. Students entering on 17th St. will enter through the gates by the front office.
Gates Open: The campus gates will open at 8:10 AM, and students should proceed directly to their classrooms.
Class Start Time: Classes begin promptly at 8:20 AM. Please ensure your child arrives on time to maximize their learning experience.
Bus Riders:
Location: Buses drop off students on 14th Street.
Entry Point: Bus riders will enter the campus at the top of the stairs from the bus drop-off area.
Drop-Off Recommendations:
14th Street: It is highly recommended that TK, kindergarten and first-grade students be dropped off on the 14th Street side of campus to make their walk to the classroom more manageable. Due to bus drop off there are no drop offs to be made in the bus parking lanes on 14th St.
17th Street: We highly recommend that all parents who do not have a kindergarten or first-grade student drop off on 17th Street due to the limited parking available on 14th Street.
Other students may also enter and exit campus on 14th Street if it is more convenient.
First Day of School (Tuesday, September 1):
On the first day of school, all parents are welcome to walk their students to the door of their classroom.
Regular Drop-Off (Starting September 2):
Beginning September 2, all students will be dropped off at the gates on 17th or 14th Street. Staff will be available to escort students to their classrooms if needed.
Pick-Up:
TK, Kindergarten and First Grade:
Pick-Up Location: Kindergarten and first-grade students will be picked up on the kindergarten playground at their designated class locations. Students and their siblings will not be permitted to play on the playground or equipment during or after dismissal.
YMCA Pick-Up: The YMCA will pick up kindergarten students directly from their classroom locations.
First Grade and Kindergarten Bus Riders: First-grade teachers will escort bus riders to the bus pick-up area on 14th Street.
Late Pick-Up: Kindergarten teachers will escort students who are not picked up on time to the office.
Second and Third Grade Dismissal to 14th Street:
A second and third-grade teacher will escort second and third-grade students who need to be dismissed to 14th Street to the kindergarten playground for pick-up.
For Students with Different Dismissal Needs:
YMCA and 17th Street Pick-Ups: The SAI Aide will escort first-grade YMCA students and K/1 students who need to be picked up at 17th Street.
Second through Fifth Grade:
All second through fifth-grade students will be escorted by their teacher to the front gates at 17th Street for dismissal.
If you prefer your child to exit on 14th Street to meet up with you or a younger sibling, please inform the teacher of this plan, and your student will be sent to 14th Street for dismissal.
Please be sure that your students know where to meet you at dismissal.

Drive through drop off is available on the 17th St. side of campus in the morning. Due to the buses, drive through drop off is NOT available on 14th St.
At dismissal, there is no drive through pick up available on either 17th or 14th street.
Please do not park and leave your vehicle in any area that has a red curb.
Please do NOT block or park in our neighbor's driveways nor double park in the road.

General Reminders
Please label your students personal items. Misplaced backpacks, lunchboxes, water bottles, and sweatshirts are much easier to return to students if they are clearly labeled with their first and last name.
If you are sending a snack or lunch with your student, please be sure they know how to open it. We have staff that will help student at recess and lunch, but it is much easier for them if they know how to access their food independently.
