To my beloved friends,

I want to apologize for not writing sooner but I have been a little weak due to the treatment. However by God’s grace I am regaining my strength. I want to thank you for your beautiful prayers that have helped me immensely get through the last eight months. I have enjoyed reading your post of encouragements and jokes too!

I just received my first progress report on two tests (MRI and SCAN) everything is looking real good but the Surgeon wants one more (Nuclear Scan) before he could give me the really good news, that the cancer has been caught. But, I already know it’s going to be the same as the first two. Praise God!

Now to the important news, as I was pondering this season and its meaning, I know that this Christmas has a very special place in my heart. From the beginning of this radical operation I knew that it could have gone either way, and I was prepared knowing My Lord personally and the promises He has given to me. So the meaning of Christmas is not about getting preoccupied with all the Christmas parties or the stress of going to the mall to buy gifts that often put a financial burden on us. But, as someone put it so well: “The true meaning of Christmas is love.... and God demonstrated His own Love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ, the only begotten Son of God, died for us ..." (Romans 5:8)”.

To me that is the real heart of Christmas. I want to express my LOVE to all of you as you spend this Christmas with your love ones. Glory to God in the Highest!
